Naming

I'm normally not one to name my car, even though I did name the Pink Beast. Her new owners have renamed her, and reassigned gender too (Harvey the RV.) But I think I may at least informally name my new car. The obvious name came to me this morning... since he was begat by the deer who sacrificed her life for me to get the new car, I think his name may just have to be Bambi. It seems fitting!

By the way...

Can I just say, I love heated seats! That's an unexpected surprise because I didn't think I'd use them much. My first exposure to heated seats was unexpected, riding in my friend Eileen's car after a few "iced teas" at the Boathouse. I didn't know they were heated, so when my butt got warm I was afraid I'd had one too many iced tea. Needless to say, my opinion has changed. I'm sure I'll love them even more by January.

A Rare Day

Today is a wonderful day.... I actually had nothing going on after church! This is the first Sunday that's happened since Labor Day weekend (with the exception of my vacation Sunday, which doesn't count.) I was sooo excited to actually leave before 12:30. I saw most of the first half of the Packer game - also a rare thing. Of course I fell asleep during the 3rd quarter and woke up in time to see the end. I even bought a Sunday paper today and read it.

So for one rare Sunday, it felt like a Sabbath Day instead of a work day.... and strangely it had nothing to do with "church." But then again, knowing I was going home early put me in a good and energized mood when leading worship too. So even that felt more joyful to me.

All in all, it's just been a very nice day and Max has hardly left my lap since I got home!
