Naming
I'm normally not one to name my car, even though I did name the Pink Beast. Her new owners have renamed her, and reassigned gender too (Harvey the RV.) But I think I may at least informally name my new car. The obvious name came to me this morning... since he was begat by the deer who sacrificed her life for me to get the new car, I think his name may just have to be Bambi. It seems fitting!

I never used to name cars, but somehow when I got married it started happening (because I'm married to a woman who affectionately named her first car "Turbot" ... not sure why, but that was its name). When we bought our SUV it was named Henry (mostly because we were driving over mountains saying "c'mon Henry" hoping we'd make it over the mountains) ... then we got a BMW and named it "Greta" seemed appropriate for a German car (Greta is currently on life support). There's something about naming cars that makes us care just a little more about our vehicles!
