Just one quick vent...

OK, I'm really not in a cranky mood - had an excellent day, in fact. Much of the day was spent with some of my youth shopping for Christmas gifts for 36 Burbank kids, then wrapping those same gifts and eating pizza. (Have I told you all how wonderful my kids are?) A day of shopping with someone else's money (Thrivent made a big donation) is always a good way to spend a day.

But tonight on the local news my pet peeve button was pushed yet again, which prompts me to ask one simple question. I seriously hope someone out there can answer it for me. When did "overspreading" become a word??? We are getting snow for the 4th time in 7 days.... sigh.... and again the weather man talked about how the snow will be "overspreading" the state tonight and tomorrow. It's not just this one weather man either - I have heard that new word being used by virtually every weather person on every channel lately.

"Overspreading"..... like nails on a chalkboard for me.... almost as bad as the fact that we're getting snow for the 4th time in 7 days.
